Vantage Care Apothecary offers a large selection of training and continuing education opportunities for your staff. Educational offerings can be scheduled at your facility at times convenient for you and your staff. Most education and training is provided free for Care Apothecary customers
- CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) for the healthcare provider, Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid. Certificate of completion provided by the American Heart Association
- Infection Control – Includes hand hygiene, transmission based precautions, blood borne pathogens and other common infections commonly seen in the long-term care setting
- Blood Borne Pathogens – Certificate of completion provided by the American Heart Association
- Medication Administration – Review important “do’s and dont’s” for safe and effective medication administration. Discussion on most common med errors. This can be catered to the needs of the facility.
- Medication Management – Tips to reduce medicatino cost and waste.
- Opioid-Associated Emergency and Naloxone use –
- A Comprehensive review for the healthcare or personal care provider
- Recognition and Treatment of Opioid-associated emergencies
- Naloxone Administration including IM or Intranasal
- Hands on skills using Naloxone practice models and manikins.
- Disease State Management - Let our healthcare experts review and provide updates to care for a variety of disease states. Examples include: UTI in long-term care, heart failure, diabetes care, depression in the elderly, and more.
